Here are a few tips for you on how to create a memorable party for your child
Sometimes organising parties can be very stressful. But we are here for you to give you a few tips on how to organise a party for your little one.

Ask what your little one wants

It is very important to know what your child is expecting from the party and what they want. If it is a house party with a few friends – we are here for you with all the entertainment you need. All you need is to ask your child which theme they prefer.

Everyone is different.

When

You will have to decide what date and time you would like to have the party. This will also give plenty of time to organise it and have a deadline to work towards. Consider when children usually have their food and naptime so you would not upset their routine. Knowing the party date means you can send your invitations on time and your little one will have key players.

The ideal length of any children’s party is 2 hours. The best time slots for your party are 11 am to 1 pm or even 2 pm to 4 pm (or even 4 pm-6 pm). This way the food you serve becomes the lunch or the tea for the kids.

Where will it be?

It is always good to know what space you have to work with. It can be anything from a church hall or city hall to your back garden or even a park. With the venue confirmed, you can then decide what decorations would be suitable etc. Be aware that halls are booked well in advance and can add an extra cost to your party and you still need to bring your own food, entertainment and decorations. The good thing about doing it at your own home is that you can do it in parts and leave decorations to enjoy later.  Also, you can save a bit of money and I am sure you have plenty of toys to keep them entertained and of course, don’t forget to get our PostBox party to get everything you need for entertainment!

Food

We suggest serving basic food so it will please everyone. Maybe look into food bags. With it they can have some food at the party or take it home. No waste! You cannot go wrong with sandwiches, healthy snacks and juice. Or you can just order pizza delivered. But if it is at home, you know how  your kitchen works and you can serve anything you think children would be happy to eat.

Cake

What is a birthday without a birthday cake?! It can be a great idea to make a mixed cake to satisfy all tastes. Another idea is to have different cupcakes so everyone will have a choice.

You may want to prepare bags/boxes to put the cake in so children can have it later. But ideally, you want children to eat it at the party because after being in a bag, cake usually gets squashed. Do avoid all nuts as it is one of the biggest allergens.

Entertainment

Well, here you can definitely rely on the TipTop Party but if you are far from Bristol then PostBox Party. All you need to ask your child is which of our packages they want.
